Peeling area on beak of older goose

Hi,
Joey my older female goose has an area on the right side of her beak that looks like it is peeling a little. Is this normal? It is like a lighter color orange and scaly.....What is this?

You said earlier she has been on antibiotics, maybe it has something to do with that? just a guess though but maybe in the evening before bed and when she won't be sticking her head in water agin till morning you could spray something like Veterycin on her bill very safe and is for wounds and infections, may help.
