Let me tell you about my peep water setup.. I read how everyone had problems with the peeps spilling water so when I got my peeps here is what I did. Sorry I do not know how to post a picture from my phone to this site..
I bought two of the small water bottles with the red screw on bottoms.. l took the red bottoms and sup..er glued them about 6 inches apart on to a piece of plywood. 8 inches wide and 12 inches long. When I filled my bottles I turn the board upside down and screwed them into the red bottoms. I than flipped it over and place the board on and piece of 2x4 to raise off the floor of the box the chicks are in. The chicks did not spill the waters and they did not get them full of paper and wood shavings. It worked for the 5 weeks I have had them. I had to change to a larger type water because they needed more water now.. But I never had to clean up a wet box in all this time their bedding is always dry.
The only draw back is they pooped on the board and I had to scrap it off everyday when I changed the water. I have 15 peeps who are now going on 6 weeks old and are as cute as can be.. They will be moving out to the outside coop this week and off of my enclosed front porch,
