I am in the process of working out an 'adoption' of one or two Swedish Blues who are a week old to keep Peepers company!

My friend who has been guiding me in my care of Peepers came over and took at look at her last night and gave me a big thumbs up for a job well done.

So, I was happy about that. But, I agree with all of you that she really needs to be able to interact with others. And, as it turns out, another woman who, currently, has 13 ducks in total, is trying to find good homes for her 8 ducklings. As it stands right now, I'm going to pick two of them up tomorrow afternoon. I'm so happy!! Peepers will have company!!

BTW, as little as she is, I don't like to leave her during the day when I'm at work. So, she comes with me every day and stays in a box with all her toys and food and clean water. Today, she decided her little legs were getting stronger and she was intent on trying to jump out of the box to get to me.

LOL! Needless to say, I had to find a taller box. HAHAHA! Anyhoo... once I get the new babies, I'll be toting 3 of them to work every day.

Congratulations! Blue Swedes are awesome from what I've read, and they are sooo beautiful! Don't forget to post pictures!

Large and xlarge plastic dog crates work real well. and Congrats on getting Peepers some friends. looking forward to seeing them all together.

We should!! I can't get over how much she's grown just in the past week!!! She has already lost that pink-ness on the end of her bill and it's gotten longer, as well. Her legs must be twice the length they were a week ago. And she's much longer in the body, as well. They grow crazy fast, don't they??!! ...Right now, she's running around in her pen like a maniac. LOL! Her pen is in my living room and she does this every morning when I get up. If she sees me and I don't go pick her up right away, she'll start peeping, yelling at me to come get her. <3

I can't wait to bring her new friends home today!!! They're going to look TINY compared to her, as they're about a week younger. LOL! She'd better be careful running around in there like she is once those little ones are there. ;)

Aha, I know what you mean. Pyrrhos runs everywhere whenever we take her out. It's so cute. (:

Aha, the ducklings I'm getting will be almost two weeks younger than Pyrrhos. But she's actually pretty calm in her cage so I'm not too worried about that. What I am worried about is pecking, since Pyrrhos pecks at everything.

Okay... I have the babies.

They're so snuggly with each other. They expect Peepers to be the same. But, she really isn't! LOL! She doesn't know WHAT to make of them!! They've settled down quite a bit since I put them together. But, every once in a while, they all freak out and the little ones chase Peepers all around the cage. I think this is what she wants to do to them:

LOL! ...As soon as you take one of them away from the other, both of them start peeping like crazy, too. MUCH noisier than Peepers is!! ...I'm not sure I'm crazy about them yet. I think I need some time, myself. ;)

Here they are together (sort of):

I think Peepers still prefers her "mirror friend". HAHAHA!!

Lol Pyrrhos is a complete bully. I ended up buying four. (x.x I have NO self-control.) She bullies them like crazy. ): A couple of them will sneak behind her and nip her back, though. They're starting to settle in a bit. Even Pyrrhos will lay down next to them without trying to pinch them. She's HUGE compared to them! x.x I didn't think she would be that big, but yep, she certainly is!

That's their cage now(except I just took out the towel, changed the water, and put in some watered down food). The bottom one has a tilted head, though. =/ (My dad sort of made me buy him, even though I said no.) I think two are males, and two are females, but I'm not 100% sure.

Either way, they're all so cute and fluffy!

Your Swedes are ADORABLE! <3333 And lololol these babies chirp with this really high-pitched chirp that hurts my ears. I love them already though, haha. I love Pyrrhos too, of course~ <3

AWW! LOL! They're so TINY!!!... My Swedes are HUGE considering they're only a week old! Here's a pic I just took of them:

I think Peepers is saying, "GET THEM OUT OF HERE!" LOLOL!
