I had a dream that my mom left she house and my grandfather was babysitting my sister and I.I went outside to the chickens, there was a pile of snow but the yard was flooded and I went into a chicken coop.There I was plunged into another dream I was doing the same thing, and then I was under water and I saw a creepy guy from another dream singing about life or something under water and then I opened ,y eyes, and I saw my Mom again in the yard and then I woke up cause Harriet was screaming.
LOL. I had a dream a couple of nights ago that I set a bunch of duck eggs one evening and then the next morning I looked in the incubator and a goose had hatched and it was soo cute. I didn't even wonder why a goose hatched from a duck egg and why it had only been in the incubator one day... It's head was also the size of the egg...The funny thing is that I don't have an incubator and don't hatch eggs. Do you guys think that I have been spending to much time on byc hatching threads?
BYC is addicting. I can't blame you, I've been looking for incubators XD!
LOL yeah. I don't want to hatch though because I have heard that it can be addicting and my coop is already almost full and I want ducks...
Ducks! I want ducks, and I want meat ducks, so I'll need to hatch often.

How did you build your bator, Dan? Maybe if I made one, I could hatch ducklings and chicks. Then I don't have to wait!
I made it out of a cooler and some lights. There's a lot more ways than that though. Try asking around here, there's a lot of people and they know what they're talking about. You could also ask Sally Sunshine, she helped me with mine.

Pekins are big easy going ducks, I like them. Swedes are more nervous (mine are anyway) so maybe not the best choice for a first timer. Runners are fun and quite active, they can find most of their own food. I love Muscovies, they're my favorite, not super friendly (although some are) but they make excellent moms and not a lot of noise, they're VERY self sufficient and can find 95% of their food and they reproduce better than rodents, two to three clutches a year setting on between 20 to 30 eggs with a 90% hatch rate, there is one or two cons though, if you're looking for eggs they aren't the best laying breed and they can and do fly.
