Sometimes it sucks a little being a homeschooler. But JUST A LITTLE

I like it. It's much better, at least for us. More time, you can learn more.

Very true, very true. Me and LauraBrown chat like this sometimes, but it has been awhile... oh well. I'm just waiting for an opportunity

I almost missed your tiny print

Hey, dad found some mangos at the "Food to old for king soopers to sell" table at church last night, and they had a couple hard, black spots on them. He thinks that maybe they just grew up close to the branch, but everyone thought they were bad. So, mango expert, 2 questions:
1. Do chickens eat magos (cuz I don't really wanna share with them :p)
2. Any clue as to what the black spots are? They're pretty big "spots", almost like they were sitting on the ground and went bad, but it's hard

Chickens love mangos.

We get black spots on mangos pretty often, I'm not sure what they are but we still eat them. Bruises maybe? Anyway, the mangos still taste good.

If it goes into the fruit a little, don't eat that part. But the rest should be fine.

Do you guys grow any fruits/veggies?
We would, BUT we have no garden fence yet.... some of those yard-birds really know how to fly!

We had a giantgarden when I was little, but now it's just a weedbed, and now we have chickens. Therefore, we have no garden

I just ate a chocolate muffin whole so my siblings wouldn't see

Yeah, our chickens used to be free range but now they're in a run. It's easier to garden, that's for sure!

I have to do similar things sometimes. It is hard, but I do it for their good. Wouldn't want them to fight over it.

I think that My Spyke would learn how to hypnotize me into turning them all loose pretty quick

We've let our girls free-range since we first got chickens, and in 3 years have only lost 1 to an unknown predator. And it was her own fault, too. She flew the coop and couldn't get back in. A fox or somethin got her
hmm.png

Oh yes. We fight all the time, so I do lots of things so they don't have a reason to fight. Like, eat a muffin so there's an even number!

I got 2 this morning, everyone else got one

What time is it where you are?

Yeah, I liked it when they free ranged, but we moved and it is safer to have them in a run. That stinks.
