Hello: I live in High Country, NC....I have a flock of mixed chickens (that I love). Mostly Buff O's. I also LOVE JRSUS and I am waiting for HIS return here on this old farm with my dear old hubby! I have a sick old Buff Hen that has a small pea size blk. spot on her crest and these nasty hard white crusty balls all around her butt. She has been off for about a week and hides in the coop. I cleaned her off real good and put Neosporin on both areas of question. She is separated and on my warmer porch in a box. She is still in the box ..like the peace and quiet. She is eating and drinking (Apple Cider Water) and pooping normal again. Any advise? Stay in the WORD sister and live like HE can return any minute!!!

Hi newsalem! It's o good to meet yet another Christian on this forum! I'll PM you a link to one of my favorite threads later (it's so cool).
Can you tell what the spots on her are? My buffs had a Tendency to get poop stuck to their butt fluff; do you think it might be that? If she's pooping normally now she'll probably pick back up pretty quick

You are right the crest could be from an aggressive rooster...but the stuff around the butt is not Poop or sticky bottom!!! I had that to deal with before...I thin you are right it is probably a yeast type infection. I appreciate you help so much. Do you know of any one in my area of NC? Near Boone.

Yeah, I do. I mostly just memorise the emoticons I use a lot and type it out, like you would type : highfive : and it would be . And the app has a button were you can switch from mobile to desktop version. Does your kindle have that? I switch to desktop if there's a emoji I can't remember how to type out.

Hmmmm... Most of my friends are rather secretive, so know, i don't think i know anyone near there - although i was born in NC.
