Yeah. But I have to save room for the next two batches going in as well (one week apart) so not as many as I could hatch.

Makes sense. The main reason I want to make a bator is for staggered hatches. It makes it so much easier.

I really like using broodies, just not for more important eggs. They're much easier!

It has been about a month since my last set and I had 14 clears out of 34 eggs.

I have four drakes and 7 ducks. So just about at 2:1 I think it's just because its early spring, last august when I had a broody all ten eggs I gave her were good, she only hatched 6 but all were fertile and honestly six out of ten from a nine month old Pekin is not bad.

Both. I'm kinda hand on at first, then I'm hands off then at hatching I can't stay away.

I just realized that with the ducklings I sold I covered this months feed bill for both the ducks AND the hogs!!!!! e I made $44 off the ducklings and the feed was $41. Mon can't say the ducks aren't pulling their weight!!!!!!!!!
