Peeping Eggs - How to Hatch?

Day before yesterday one of the early hatchers fell out of the nest and I brooded it in my bra for a few hours then gave it back to mom when it was fluffy and warm.

Well, crap. The chick hatched but didn't live. I gave up on the other two and shoved them under the duck several hours ago. I figure she can do a better job than me.

I think your doing the best you can under the circumstances. If getting a bator is out of the question then leave them under the duck and watch closely for when they hatch and pull them out as soon as possible so the broody duck doesn't confuse them as her own and leave her nest. If they are peeping and pecking then it should be too long now before the others come out!! Good luck!

Yay, Magica!

Here's the little pullet I found when I went to put the girls to bed tonight. I took her away from Magica and shoved her under Sue with the other chicks. There's one more egg, so we'll see what happens in the morning.
