Peeping from eggs, now how long for babies to hatch out?

I have a broody hen on some eggs and yesterday, day 20 of brooding, I heard peeping coming from a couple of the eggs. I expected babies this morning but no....
How long does it take the little ones to break out of their egg shells? Anyone time the process for an average time?

Found two babies finally. I feel better now. So I guess about 24 hours to pip out should do it.

Congratulations! Yes, it can take up to 24 hours or more for them to hatch. It's quite a process they go through, though sometimes they pip, zip and emerge in what feels like 5 minutes!

How many eggs has she got?
