Peeping Tom at the hen house.

Tomorrow my DH is putting his trail cam(uses it for deer) in my coop because for the last
2 days I have been robbed!!!!
First day I guesstimated about 12 eggs missing from normal total, today I got 6 eggs from 19 hens that are just past POL.

I go out to peek at my girls too! Right now, we have four different set ups so it can be time consuming.

We're in the process of building a new, bigger coop for the girls to be in one coop all together. Having hubby put in a window in the door I enter so I can peek in every once in awhile and/or make sure I can enter without catching a bunch of girls in front of the door (possibly letting them out). I'd love to get me a chicken cam or two someday - especially for this winter when there's inclement weather and I'd like to check their feed/water without actually going all the way out there!

I have a "baby monitor" which uses two cameras, so I get video and sound, from two different angles in the coop. (Large coop, transmogrified from an old garage.) infra-red for viewing in the dark, as well as color in day or artificial light.

It's on all the time, with the volume down low at night, and the small monitor is turned to the wall as a sort of night light in my bedroom.

The brand is "Live 2 Snap" I think....

Whats really cool is that I was able to solve the mystery of an odd clanking sound at night. The pair of geese were playing with the chain from which one of the feeders hangs!

Yes, I spy on my flock!

My coop in TN had 2 windows in it and I was peeping in to see who was on the nests, too. Haven't finished my coop here in AR, but need to soon, now that the hot weather has cooled down.
