"Lost Boys" and Keifer Sutherland (not to mention the two Coreys) SHOULD NOT EVER even be used in the same sentence with this pathetic excuse for tween entertainment.

so apparently you have not seen lost boys 2..... they should have stayed lost...that was a pathetic piece of (clears throat) work

Oh no, I have purposefully stayed WAY FAR AWAY from that one. I don't trust any movie that's supposed to be a great sequel and goes straight to video!!! That's like a cardinal rule, right up there with not wearing white after Labor Day!

Besides, I saw bits of the "plot"(or lack there of) when I was ever-so briefly addicted to the cable show train wreck "The two Coreys". It seemed quite ridiculous and since Haim couldn't get himself together....well, it's just a waste of celluloid.

And really, those guys at 30 plus years old running around chasing vampires? It's as plausible as Schwarzenegger reviving the Terminator at 62. At some point these actors have got to realize they have aged and that not all careers are meant to be renewed.

But then, I could go on and on about bad acting and bad plots and horrible screen writing but that would be TOTALLY off topic........no wait, that is EXACTLY what we are talking about anyway!!!!

I read all 4 books and they were crap. The movies are bad to IMO. I just think that its a bad story and as a general rule I can usually read anything. Im a big Steven King fan though.

My point exactly - and Keifer Sutherland was THE one back in my younger years. I loved all his earlier stuff...still have most of them on VHS (

that's the machine with the big rectangle opening you may have seen in your school's media center under all the dust)

Stand By Me (Stephen King wrote that for those who may not know) and Flatliners are up there among my favorites!

Can I ask why you read the whole series of twilight and then said its crap? Why didn't you just stop reading them if you didn't like them? If I start reading a book and I realise I don't like it I don't keep reading it then buy the next in the series.

Loved that book.....Of course, I have loved all the SK books. Yes, I have read everyone and have most in hardback! Oddly enough, I HATE horror movies but I can read the books til the cows come home.

Have you read any Anne Rice? Clive Barker? Love her, couldn't "get" him.

Oh, and I know they made most of SK books into movies, and I've seen a good many of them, but most of them stink. The books are way better. The screen writers and directors just can't seem to "capture" the story properly. Although, I did enjoy The Green Mile, Misery, Stand by Me, and Shawshank Redemption.

I prefer to "read" my movies....Jarhead, Secret Life of Bees, Shopaholic series, In her shoes, Devil wears Prada, House of sand and fog, Like water for chocolate, Running with scissors etc, etc, etc......These were all better books than movies. Not that the movies were bad, per se, but the books are better.

Although, John Grisham(sp) does seem to translate well - read all his books, too.

And for the historical fiction, the series about Henry VIII wives by Phillippa Gregory is really entertaining. Reading them lead me to read some non-fiction works about the time period. Which, I think is a pretty good thing is a story can lead you to do research into the past and LEARN!

See, I too am willing to read anything - any genre - but I flat out REFUSE to read the Twilight garbage. Sparkly vampires that can go out in the daylight...WHAT????
