Peeps Against Twilight club

please let me join!!!! i'm sooooo sick of my friends talking about twilight. I told them that i didn't like it and they were like 'have you read the books?' and i hadn't at the time and they were all like 'well, if you'd just read them you'd understand.' like i was some poor, deprived kid who just didn't *understand why a sparkling vampire was hot. come on! i. personally, would rather NOT have a boyfriend who sparkled, thank you very much!

as for bella, she has absalutly NO personality! good grief girl, get a life! 'oh edward, i think i'll DIE if you leave me for a few seconds' and puhleeeease, no one is THAT talentless! she can't do anything! let's teach girls that if you have no self-confidence, some boy who feels sorry for you will come along and give you a perfect life! not gonna happen! she knew that he could attack her at any moment, doesn't she have any sense of danger, or is she just that stupid?

and edward, jeesh, how can he put up with bella for so long? i'd almost feel sorry for him except he brought it all down on himself! and he's SOOOO stuck up!

and why couldn't jacob just accept that bella was in an infatuation with a vampire, and not him? come on, he needs a life too!

ugh, twilight is basically a book that teaches teens (girls especially) how teen pregnancies are ok as long as you love that person, that it's ok to not have any self confidence, and a lot of other things.

i didn't read through the whole thing, so sorry if this has all been said before.

Yeah, you can join. You'll fit right in.

chixrus youre ABSOLUTLY right. Bella needs to get a life. no personality what so ever. and there relationship is like one day there friends the next day theyre ready to get married! And does edward REALLY have to sparkle? vampires DONT SPARKLE!! Theyre supposed to be scary blood sucking dark and horrible monsters, not faries!

According to the author, vampires are actually faeries that sparkle, live forever and don't drink blood because they feel sorry for humans, and seem to run around like this;

about all "bella" can think about - edward - - - she's what you call a flat character...no characterisation changes, she doesn't learn anything...someone tell me what the theme is again?

And, yes I have read all four...and seriously regret it

this is the most illiterate post i think i've ever seen.

i think that to a certain extent, twilight is against god.

All three DD's (ages 21, 26, 29) took the book, Twilight on their road trip vacation in 2008 just to read aloud and ridicule it and write comments on the margins of the pages. They all went to the movie with their Twilight-hating friends and gaffawed throughout the entire screening. NOW, they're going to see the sequel to do the same thing. There must be SOMETHING that has grabbed the attention of prepubescent girls, but I don't know what that is, unless it involves lack of self-esteem that seeks to be used by others.
Honestly, watching the teasers, the CG wolf doesn't look as good in this film as in last year's video games! I'll take a film like "Paranormal Activity", or "Love at First Bite" or "Dracula: Dead and Loving It" (great Renfield in that one) over this drippy story anyday.
I guess that you can add MY name to your list.

BTW, DD (senior English Major) likens it to "Wuthering Heights". Anybody else agree with that?
