Peggy the Showgirl chick's Journey. *3/8/11 vet visit update*

Just thought i would let ya know my friend had a chick who got his leg broken he had his leg removed and he is the sweetest little rooster in the world and he gets around fine (we call him peggy cause he has a peg where his leg used to be). I hope your peggy is a GIRL and that she will be O.K .

Great to hear she's gonna be ok! My mom raises cockatiels and has a few with similar foot and leg injuries and they get along as happily as any of the other normal birds she has.

Funny how we so often fall for the underdog critter...the runt, the one with a bum leg...cause those are often the sweetest ones. Hope things work out for the little chick; I bet she will pay little to no attention to that leg as she grows up. Showgirls are just so darned adorable!!
