Hopefully you would get a warning before getting a fineMaybe!Thats why I wondered what my punishment if I ever get caught would be. Is it worth the risk of just going for it?
For now that's my plan...

True that!Hopefully you would get a warning before getting a fine
It depends on the town along with the county here.So they fine you til you get rid of it? Or it's age? Or? Lol
Sorry for the questions. Thanks for the help
Awesome thank you! I'm allowed 4 poultry per half acre up to 12, no rooster, toms, or drakes. I have 1.3 acres. It depends on the town along with the county here.
I have gotten a few birds people were in a hurry to get rid of. They told me they had 10 days to get rid of them before the fines started.
They fine you until you get rid of it. $150 a bird, Up to $500 a day
I assume it's when it's obviously a boy.
Here they only allow a hen per so many sqft of lot , on residential lots. I'm on what was my great grandparents farm. It was divided up every generation and along the way it was zoned residential. I have almost 10 acres, but 5 different lots, I bought or inherited what my grandmother had inherited. ... technically I can't have roosters or my turkeys.
I have a noisy rd on 2 sides, forest on another and I plow the neighbors on the other side. My cousin has a working 80 acre farm across the road. So far no one has complained and neighbors say they can't hear because they just here the highway.
I'd rather hear roosters than traffic. It depends on the town along with the county here.

Me too!! And our road is a busy semi-main side road. Definitely loudI'd rather hear roosters than traffic.
You planted inside the coop?Night 3 went a little more smoothly but also a little funny and Interestingly.
I was near the coop doing some late grape planting when I heard some squawking. I look over and the birds are flapping and crying for me.. I walk over and 3 are on the top ladder towards the hen house.. but Charlie jumped in Delta's back and he wasnt having it.
I had to go in and take her off his back.. lol
Now I had all 4 birds on the ladder going to the hen house. Let's see if I can coax them in there..
Got one bird on the edge of the door, but shes not going in. Delta looks as if he wants to go in but doesn't want to push past and make more problems. Then Echo walks past and also stops at the door.
Well I'm glad I made the hen house big enough for me to get in.. back inside I go. Grab one bird, either Charlie or Echo, and put her on the top roost bar. Shes good to go.
Grab the other bird and put her on the top roost bar. Shes good to go.
Blue starts to walk in from the ladder and sits down. I grab her and put her on the top roost bar. She's good to go.
Delta stands up.. I motion for him to come inside. He walks in.. the girls see him and all start cooingHe keeps poking his head up trying to find the girls and to see if it's safe to get up there. Maybe it's too dark now? Maybe he can't see?
I pick him up and bring him to the top roost bar.. he doesn't move. I remember he likes to lay by Blue.. I move my hand near her and he climbs off next to her!
I give them all a nice pet. Tell them it's alright and good night.
Exit the hen house and lock everything up. All seems good!
.
Earlier today I decided to buy a bag of plot cover seed to see if I can grow a little fodder. I got some cheap no til seed that has Tetraploid ryegrass, forage clovers, brassica in it.
So I quietly went in the coop and prepared some of the ground, layed some seed down, and wet the ground. And I could hear light cooing inside.
Let's see how the morning goes. First morning I don't work..
Thanks for looking again
Til next time...
I did!You planted inside the coop?
The chickens will scratch it up.
