Hi ,

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

New to chickens . Had hens now for 2 weeks

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

4 hens

(3) What breeds do you have?

Tell you the truth have no idea

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

Internet search and chickens for dummies book gives a recommendation for this site

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Legos ?

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Im retired Vet , we have a Bluenose pit bull. 3 cats and Marty a green cheeked parrot . I just opened this account for my wife so we can ask questions and learn . We use organic feed and herbs supplemented by treats and leftovers.. The hens are more like pets and are super well treated .
Since we are renting the chickens its going to be hard on the wife to give them up . They get so excited when the see her/us .

There’s a link on the page above to the Learning Centre - it’s a great resource. If you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive
