Pekin bantam 3 weeks

We got one white Sussex, to Plymouth mouth rocks, and one blue Barnevelder. They are only day old chicks so we are gambling with gender.

Not Cochins- none were available. We got 1x white Sussex, 1x barnevelder & 2x Plymouth rocks chicks. Do you have any experience with these breeds? They are unsexed so unsure of what we will end up with
I have had one Barnevelder and three Sussex, but no Plymouth Rocks. Six weeks is the average age that you can really tell their gender at, but usually sex will become apparent even before that. The only exceptions are slow-growing breeds such as the Liege Fighter (which take an astonishing two years to become an adult, and several months to show any hint on gender) or breeds that are generally hard to sex until later due to their odd feathers such as the Silkie. You can post the chicks here when they are 4-6 weeks old for sexing.
