Good choices? I think im going to order 2 of each breed for hatching, but before i do....did i make a good selection? Are Buffs and Pekins noisy or mean? I dont want my neighbors complaining because i live in a typical suburban area with close neighbors and a busy street. And do i need to clip their wings? i think not but give me some good answers please thanks! (PS i know all wont hatch)

I heard pekins are loud. Especially the females. Buffs and Cayugas are pretty calm but like all ducks the females will be noisy. You will not need to clip any of those breeds wings

Maybe someone else can help me out, but I am wondering if you end up with Pekin drakes, won't they be a little large for buff ducks (females)? Drake size is something that I think about when pondering the possible addition of drakes to my flock of 3.5 to 5 pound girls.

That is a good question. I have it the other way around, larger female to smaller male, but I do think I would worry about a 10 lb pekin over a much smaller female.
