Pekin chickens...rooster or hen?

Beautiful!
More pictures of tail.

Dorothy is a great name for a rooster! Kept her loved ones alive, ;) helped them all find what they were looking for and returned home safe and sound.

I have a rooster his name is Lulu. His sons name is Roseabella thanks to my Grandaughter :clap

Chickens have no gender name issues thank God.:celebrate
Lulu is a Cochin his tail looks like a fancy messy bun.
Thanks for that, you’re so right, we currently have a female cockatiel called Burt!

I’ve just posted a few more pics, I’m thinking maybe a boy...

No, 8 out of 12 of our hens are laying, most only started within the last 6wks or so, which we thought was unusual as it’s winter down here. But they’re still only about 10mths old.
No crowing either, and not dominant, although we did catch her trying to mount a hen yesterday....

If it is winter it would not be unusual for them to lay late. Lighting helps their bodies determine when it is right time for them to lay.

No crow yet? That might be odd for a cockerel I think Lulu crowed pre hatching lol. I have cockerels that hatched in April and have been crowing for at least a month

So :fl Dorothy is a nice name for a hen too ;)
