Since Friday I have been tubing her the Kaytee baby bird food. I have made enough for 60ml doses and made it somewhat thick. Based on what an average duck eats, all the info I have found says 6-7 ounces of food a day. So I have been giving her 60ml of food and usually 50ml of electrolytes in the morning, noon and night. It took a little while to get the food working through her. Saturday the 24th she pooped what looks to be the brown baby bird food.(see pic # “1”) The next day there were some small droppings in pic #2. This looked like to me that either she had some remaining stuff in her stomach from the previous week or she actually ate some of the regular pellets that have been left out. I have not seen her eat or drink on her own since the second day of the attack and have been watching her on baby camera quite often. In between then there have been some small piles of brownish-green stuff. Yesterday I gave her breakfast and went out to give her lunch and when I looked down her throat, you could see that there was still food in there. So I didn’t give her dinner figuring that she was full. Today (9-26-16) I took the following pics, #3, #4, #5. These pics concern me because I have not seen any brownish material in her poop. The questions I have are, how fast does the crop digest the food? How much food will a crop actually hold? Should I go back to the regular ground up pellets and stop giving her the baby bird food? She is more disoriented today than I have seen her before. She is fine when she lays down or just stands in one place, but when she turns her head she loses her balance and falls over flailing everywhere. I still have not seen her eat or drink on her own since the 2nd day after the accident, with the exception of her being in the pool, she will take some small sips. I have raised her food and water dishes thinking that she can’t bend down due to whiplash in the neck or something. I’m at the mercy of the people here on BYC. There is no vet here that I have found that has the experience of dealing with this. The vet I went to just gave her shots. All the help I can get is appreciated. I also want to know is at what point to I stop tube feeding her? Even with her being disoriented, shouldn't she try to be eating?

Green/white watery pics are #3 and #4, there is no #5 that got attached. The point is that her poops have gone from somewhat normal to the watery, green and white. This doesn't look normal to me.

I forgot to add that Poncha doesn't like any interaction right now and the tube feeding especially causes her great panic. She snaps at me, this duck was super sweet and never was anything but perfect before the attack. She would be held and loved hugs. The current interactions seem to set her off on her worst episodes of flailing and this makes her very unstable and unbalanced. I'm wondering if the next course is stop the tube feeding and just let her figure it out on her own. Will the drive to eat out weigh her feelings of imbalance and otherwise compromised state?

Yes, Poncha still has about another week of the antibiotics to go. Yes, she is consistently 4lbs even. She just had another poop and it was the consistency of the baby bird food, but it was also green. She just did try to drink on her own, however I noticed instantly that when she tries to bring the head straight back up she gets very unbalanced.

The vet gave her a 8mg/ml shot of Convenia
