Pekin duck attacked by coyote. Please help!

I took Poncha to a "All Creatures Vet" yesterday Sept 22nd. They gave her the following shots (Dexamethasone 2mg/Ml Inj) and (Convenia Injectable 8 Mg/Ml) This was the only place that I could find that would even look at her. The vet said that she most likely has a severe concussion and PTSD, She has eaten since the attack on Monday. She did eat some that night, some peas the next day, then she stopped eating on her own. I have been grinding up her feather fixer into a powder and mixing it with the electrolyte powder and feeding it with a turkey baster. I’m gently dribbling it into her mouth allowing her to swallow it. Poncha has only been pooping about 1-2 times a day, it has been green (don’t know if it’s from her eating peas or because of another reason) I have not seen her drink or eat on her own, She stopped egg laying, she did lay eggs Tuesday morning after the attack and Wed morning(very soft shell broke in my hands)
All she wants to do is sleep, yet she still seems to have life in her when you try to pick her up. She doesn’t go limp or anything like that. She does tend to let the head fall to the right when she is sleeping. I wonder if that is from the head trauma or the fact that the left side of her face is hurting from the laceration. Her biggest hurdles right now seem to be that she won’t eat or drink on her own. She will drink the her water if she is put in the tub, however I have not seen her drink from the plastic water container. She also is having balance issues. After I feed her or give her water, she will try to walk a little and clearly has balancing issues. I’m attaching the pics below.

Bless her heart. I am sure I'd be traumatized if a coyote got hold of me. Hopefully your TLC will pull her through. Green poop usually means she isn't getting any nourishment or enough.

I really hope she pulls threw. She reminds me of my pikachu.

praying for your baby to pull threw..

I went to 3 places to find a tube feeder but nobody had one. Tractor supply had the closest thing. Its a stainless steel bent feeder.
Since the hole is not so big, I have to find a perfect blend of liquid and powdered pellets. I put the thing down her throat past the opening for the airway. I got it down as far as I could and delivered two full viles of powdered pellets, mixed with water. The opening for the feeder is not large so it takes more water to pass solids. How much food should she be getting everyday? I want to stick with the pellets for now to see that she will be pooping the stuff before I try a pea mixture that I'm sure she will like more.

I sent this thread to @casportpony to see if she can give info on how often to feed. I know she rec Kaytee baby bird formula for tube feeding because it has alot of calories.

@Sundevil19 , welcome to BYC! How much does she weigh? I shoot for 10-15 ml per pound 2-4 times a day. Does that help?

I will be heading to PetsMart in 30 min for the baby bird food. Here is a picture of P this morning (9/24 @ 6:45am) She still has not eaten or drank on her own since the day after the attack (Tuesday 20th) I'm concerned about her balance issues and the way she is now holding her head the majority of the time. Could this be a larger sign of brain damage, more than just a concussion? I wonder if the bite to her head hit an area that is responsible for her equilibrium? The hole is about 1/8" deep and between her eyes.
I'm holding out hope that she just needs time to let her head and mind heal. I'm just wondering at what point does she start to eat and drink on her own? She actually seemed better physically after the attack. She would hold her head up and ate peas. It seems that she has taken a few steps back since then.

Hopefully getting some good nutrition into her via tube feeding will begin to start her having strength and the meds will help with any inflammation that is going on. Then she'll begin to eat. Supportive care is essential now till this happens. Bless her heart I hope by days end you see a difference for the good. Bless you for trying to see her through this..

While you're out, stop by Target or Wally and get a kitchen scale, then start weighing daily at the same time every morning. Also, double check with your vet on the amount of foods and fluids you should be giving.

Oh, and while at Petsmart, see if aquarium airline would make a better feeding tube. If you decide to use it, do melt the end a little to remove the sharp edges.
