I wouldn't bring another duck to the river because the duck at the river is wild and a domesticated duck won't survive in the wild. Male ducks, also known as drakes, have curls on their tails so the first duck you saw was probably a drake. Since you said the curl is gone this could be a different duck, female since it doesn't have a curl. If you would get a duck it should be an adult. Think it would be okay with male or female and I'm not sure if they'd bond.

Hey everyone! My girls gave me one Peking and then one little Muscovy mix a week later. They also took in some welsh and Cayuga babies and are doing great. Chatty and Kathy are very good mommies!

The littlest one is the blue Muscovy/Peking. Pretty excited about her!

What are your Pekins favorite treats? Soleil likes swimmies (feeder fish), bananas, mealworms and peas!

Mine like kale, peas, purslane (I buy the seeds from Burpees, all three of my ducks lovve it).

I would to join, I have one Pekin duck I named Mr Wiggles before It was determined that he was a she...her name is now Daisy and she is a shy sweety. Large though!

I would try to get another drake if you only plan on having 2. One drake could literally mate 1 female to death. They need 3-4 females to keep them busy. Get another drake as close to the same size as Jax as possible. Gradually introduce them we're they're about the same size. They should just see each other for a while first before any direct contact.

Hey all! I have Leo & Lucy they are 4 months old. I love them so much, Leo started humping her a few weeks ago last week I was watching ( he pushes her down) and I saw something I thought was straw hanging?? No. It was his Penis!!! OMG!! So right away I search it and it's called a Corkscrew Penis!! I also read that the drake may not be able to get it back in and may need assistance !?!?! I also have egg hens and a rooster all range including ducks. So I have started the laynea I read the Drake's need wheat?? Like shredded wheat?? Need some info
