She just turned 6 months last Friday. After she laid it, she couldn't wait to show me

Question on egg laying my duck started laying last week but now no egg for 3 days but she maybe in molt as there are feathers everywhere is this normal an is it time for molt I palped her belly an I don't feel any eggs an she is happy an eating roaming the yard

So our full grown babies are almost at an age where there should be some drake feathers showing, and we thought we'd sexed them properly but my boyfriend wasn't 100% sure. We thought we had 3 and 3, but now it might be that there are only 1 or 2 females. I'll give it a few weeks to see if they develop the nice curled drake feathers. They're just shy of 3 months right now.

I totally don't want to send some boys to slaughter so if it comes to that, are there any people on here looking for a drake? They are very sweet ducks, and we have seen 0 aggression from any and they are all nice and healthy.

We're in NH so I dunno how feasible that is for you. We'd prefer for our drakes to go to people intending them to love, not to love (for dinner lol).

Wow that is so beautiful. Your so blessed. I have three pekins on a lot in St. Petersburg, FL. I wish they had a beautiful yard like that.

I love your yard. You did a great job with what you have.

I can't even contain my excitement. We got our first duck egg!!!! I was like Christmas morning in the coop.

Thank you :0) they have a back and side yard too that they visit each day looking for bugs. They are so sweet. Yours are too. They remind me of Dr. Seuss Thing 1 and Thing 2 lol. They are so comical.
