Oh yay! The link worked! I figured out how to post the youtube video of Hazel's feet in the mud! It's too funny!

Can you please bring Hazel over and ask her to show/tell my ducks how to do that??

LOL!!  OhMyGosh...too cute!!!  None of mine do that with the "stomping" of the feet. 

She does that every time we put water in their little hole they've been digging. I'm so glad I figured out how to share that. It makes me laugh and I figured it would for others too... Especially all the duck lovers on here who get it!

Nope he doesn't do it. He just likes to puff up his head and stretch out his neck like he's tough. Hazel's way of expressing her love for mud is her own unique thing I guess. Silly girl!

Haha! Yes they are! At least until I let them hang out with the geese. Then the tough guy gets a little confused. He's not sure if he wants to run with the boys or stay with his lady. Let me tell you Hazel will bit Ollie and Oscar in the tail feathers for interferring. She's the boss!

I have two ducks, a Rouen and a Pekin. They are six weeks old. When I first got my ducks, (June 2) they were perfectly fine! After a week or two I noticed my Pekin started slipping and had a hard time balancing. I use pine shavings for bedding. She has limped ever since then but today I noticed she was laying in the same spot all day. I tried moving her and she couldn't walk and used her wings to balance. I felt her leg joint under her wing and it seemed to be sticking out farther than the other. When she stands her hurt leg turns in and she puts it on top of her other foot. Someone please help! I can't stand to see my sweet Pekin in pain!
