Oh my gosh, I am so sorry! I seriously can see that scene, and feel her pain and yours. (((Hugs)))
As soon as you can, I'll get you eggs. If we can find get another chicken train* going, I'll send babies.
* Other members, here in Pennsylvania, we are all crazy enough to drive across the state to get birds. If we are planning a trip, we announce it on the "Pennsylvania Unite!!" thread. Other people ask us to stop by them to pick up their birds, and drop them with another person along the way. Sometimes a bird will stay with person A all day, or even person B for a few days. I once was person B. I received some day-old chicks that I kept for a week. I then went four hours to deliver them, another hour to pick up two crates (that Christmas wreaths came in) to use for coop building. Long expensive trip, but everyone was happy to see each other... And push chicken math on each other! LOL!!
I hope they all make it through winter.I do not have a shelter for them.anymore. tried a couple and she will not go in them! She sleeps on ice every night.
I am so sorry to hear that. That breaks my heart too. I feel bad. I am glad she's fine now.oh my, tonight we were downstairs bringing in Christmas stuff, the first time down there since the ducks moved out. Ryleigh started calling for JoJo, of course he didn't appear which led to screaming for him, the door was outside, she went searching, crying hysterically for JoJo. She's fine now but it was horrible, it broke my heart![]()
