Pekin Duck Club!

@Miss Lydia @Lacrystol @Amiga

How can i help my little pigeon toed duckling?
I have been giving her niacin, & nutri-drench a couple times & started her on B-12 in water last night.
Any assistance is welcomed.
Thank you

@CyndiD you could try making her some lil shoes they should hold her feet in proper position use plastic cut in shape of her feet wrapped all over with vet wrap or some kind of tape to keep the plastic from cutting her feet then lay her feet down on the wrapped shoe use vet wrap to attach the shoe to her feet being sure to wrap snug but not too tight. It will take her a few days to get use to it but she should. Might take a week but it should def help. Why B12 and not Brewers yeast or plain niacin? PD is excellent also.

@miss lydia i thought you were kidding at first about the shoes... i will try the shoes. should i put the plastic up the leg/ankle a little bit? otherwise wont she just keep turning ankle to the inside? just wondering... thanks
I shopped for Vit B Complex, yesterday but only found Vit B Complex w/ Vit C added, i wasnt sure, so i didnt buy it.
Anyway, i have Vit B12 at home, that i take, so i thought that would be better to give her than nothing at all today, until i can get to the store, again.
I googled Vit B Complex vs Vit B12, and it said that the Vit B Complex has ALL the Vit B's in it, so i thought i would give her my Vit B12 just until i get the other. kwim? (know what i mean) jellybean???

I meant to say use a lid on a plastic butter or cool whip bowl something similar, no just fit the shoes to bottom of her feet.Thinking maybe the shoe will keep her feet in proper alignment not sure what else you can do to help. I think the B12 will be fine until you can get B complex I have read someone on here rec super B complex and I think it had c in it I have only used Brewers yeast. I kwim exactly what you mean JB.

i will go take more pics, give me a min. i put her in bathrm sink w/water up to her ankle 2 times for 5 mins, warm water. and last night i put her in shallow water (in tupperware dish) only to her ankles... she acts like she doesnt know what to do in the water, except drink it.
Ill be back w/more pics of legs/joints..
She's to little, she needs at least one week, then she'll go crazy..

I am raising 1 Pekin duckling by herself right now and I plan on making her a duck house outside where she can live but I still don't plan on getting more ducks. I have 6 hens but I'm afraid they might beat her up like they do to new chickens in their flock. I'm afraid once she's outside she will get really lonley and depressed. Does anyone else have just one chicken by themselves outside? How is it working?

I'm confused with the pics. The first set you can see the left foot curbing in, in the next set it looks like the right one curbs in. I'm wondering if it's just they way she's using them. Wonder if she just hasn't gotten the hang yet on how to use those big flabby feet yet.

Can you send another pic, this time, hold her, have her feet dangling down, do a front and back pic...

No living creature should be alone. We leave our dogs and cats alone, hoping they don't destroy the house. We also provide them toys.
If you want one duck, I am not going to go crazy on you () I do suggest that you make sure the duck has toys, and a mirror (CDs work) to keep it company.
