I love my 3 pekin I also have babies 2 jumbo pekin 1 crested pekin 1 Appleyard and.a 6 Campbell's

I am the duck lady in my town we recently are putting in a self pond for theme

Well I am trying to come up with a solution . I am not sure if I want to put the middle set of ducks outside or in with my bigger hens in the house. The bigger hens cage is hard to clean it's on plastic and cardboard on carpet. And outside if the one pekin became a male as we learned here it wouldn't be safe for my hope who is blind. My partner wants them outside.

I simply do not know.... So I'm asking those who know more than I. Is it possible for a duck to lay 2 eggs at a time??? I have 4 Pekin ducks. 2 drakes which stay separate. I usually get 4 eggs each morning. Once last week and again today I have had 5 eggsin the morning. And I did get 4 each previous day. Anyone have a idea??

My ducks sometimes hide eggs. And I have heard ofvthe occasional rare two in a day but not sure if it was hidden eggs or not.

Amiga, thank you for the reply. I have paid attention this past week since getting the first 5 eggs in a day. Thet are in a 4' x 8' coop at night. They lay in 2 large rubber tubs(24 inch across and 4 inches deep) I let them out around 6:30am after the lay their eggs. They have straw in the tubs and totally cleaned out daily. So I know these were not left from day before or hidden. I have no idea.

Sometimes they can lay more then one. Sometimes it's usually one. Sometimes eggs get confused. Or if she didn't lay for a day or two. Usually young ones lay onces a day.

Ducks can lay more than one egg in a day? I thought this was not possible.
