I just picked up some chick starter/grower for my ducklings. Now at tsc they have this.liquid b-12 stuff. Is that what I would add to the chick starter or what exactly do I add for the extra niacin?
Somebody on this forum suggested this stuff for ducks specifically:
http://www.amazon.com/Agrilabs-Vitamins-Electrolytes-Plus-4oz/dp/B0042LA2PG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429847978&sr=8-1&keywords=agrilabs+%22Plus%22
I ordered a pack and used it with my ducks as a water additive for the first two or three weeks and WOW! It is GREAT!
I started mixing it in with their feed and I really like that method - it is more practical now that they are bigger - but they LOVED it in their water when they were baby babies.
It has the necessary Niacin in it along with electrolytes and other vitamins/minerals.
I love this stuff and use it with all my hatchlings for the first week, at least.
Approximately how long did the bag last for you? How many hatchlings did you have?
I still haven't even finished the first package. That's mixing it in the duck's water (two ducklings), then their food and two weeks of it in my bobwhite hatchling's water (ten babies). It is highly concentrated. So, it has lasted me almost seven weeks so far and I'm a little over half wayish through the package.
