Number eleven is about to pop out, with twelve close behind. Two others I'm expecting in the next hour. Half an hour to be honest!
Duckling is happy about the chicks. I'm just having a problem with her dropping them (a foot onto the bed. Hatcheries do worse!) and she just threw a canning ring into the brooder, onto a chick.

Twelve out now, one is zipped and resting. Three more very soon. That's sixteen total when these come out. I don't see pipping yet on the last five.

Day 23 has just begun. 18 total in the brooder, one chick pipped, then died (that really stinks!) and two more are still incubating. The temperature is way (like 20, I think) below zero, and I have to go make sure everyone is okay outside.

I don't wanna!!!

Today, Carly (my only pekin hen) decided to bite Auggie (my male loon)... Not a good idea Auggie bit her back... And then they fell asleep next to each other
