Can someone help me please! We have 3 male Pekin ducks and we have another breed 4 female and another male. The Pekin ducks won't stop mating with all the females and sometimes they will all go around one of them and all 3 take turns on her. Is there a way to stop them? Poor females are so skinny and tired already....

Yes they need to be separated. The females' lives depend on you. You have to protect them. It's a rotten part of the way ducks can be, but now you know.

Please keep us updated - and please do not delay getting them separated.

Will do asap. We didn't know all of this when we got them and they were straight run so we didn't know what we getting.

I had the same thing happen, I was able to re-home the other drakes to a friend.

We have 2 roosters and we had only 9 hens. The roosters started fighting and we ended up getting another 13 hens. We will separate the ducks and we will probably end up getting more female for them.

But they are such piggies it's crazy how they are hungry all the time.

Try not to beat yourself up about it, you didn't know! It'll all be fine once you have them in seperated living areas.

I have four Pekin babies right now and I'm hoping for a good outcome! Like you said straight run so you can't help what you get. Good luck with your duck journey and keep us updated maybe give your girls a break from their male companion too so they can rest and get their strength back.
