I was having internet issues and I had to reset my router so I should be back up and running now... Thank you so so much for your help in advanceYes I am still here and am willing to whatever it takes to help them... I have 9 total... 5 externally pipped and seem to be doing great... Except that one... The other 3 are still alive just haven't pipped internally yet... My question is what happens if the yolk hasn't absorbed... The one that passed and I opened still had the yolk completely intact
Wait I thought you said he was fully formed?? If he had yolk then he wasn't fully formed...Yes I am still here and am willing to whatever it takes to help them... I am confused lol... The egg that does had dark spots on it and this morning I new it was gone... When I opened the egg the duck looked completely healthy but it had a yolk... It had internally pipped but I guess it just wasn't readyWait I thought you said he was fully formed?? If he had yolk then he wasn't fully formed...
there are 9 total... 2 haven't pipped internally but are moving like crazy... 1 has internally pipped but hasn't externally yet... 5 have externally pipped and are chirping and moving all around the hole with their beak... The last one has externally pipped but is no longer chirping and the membrane is white... I wet a q-tip and carefully wiped it to make sure it didn't dry out... But it isn't chirping anymore and shows some movement... But it is slowingI am confused lol... The egg that does had dark spots on it and this morning I new it was gone... OK fully formed is when they have nothing, no yolk, no blood, nothing.. Sounds like your little one ran out of air. Strange because they have enough air in that shell to last them 24-48 hours, strange why he didn't make those marks.I am confused lol... get a spray bottle and spray him with warm water. Can you send a pic of the hole?there are 9 total... 2 haven't pipped internally but are moving like crazy... 1 has internally pipped but hasn't externally yet... 5 have externally pipped and are chirping and moving all around the hole with their beak... Ok I am going to do that and I will let you know how they are doing in the morning... Thank you so much!!!OK fully formed is when they have nothing, no yolk, no blood, nothing.. Since the one you are concerned about does have a breathing/safe hole, I would wait. Give him another day, lets see if he can make some progress. I would hate to interfear if he's not fully developed.
If by tomorrow he's still in the same exact spot with zero progress, then we can check him out to see what is causing the delay. In the meantime, get yourself a spray bottle and spray them all just ONE time. use warm water...
Tomorrow will put him past his due date, this should be enough time for him to finish whatever he may have left..
We don't want to rush him, I would feel more comfortable if we gave him one day past his due date. After that, GAME IS ON.. LOLOk I am going to do that and I will let you know how they are doing in the morning... Thank you so much!!!
