I am sure different ducks lay eggs that are different shades. You said you have a Swedish that layed black eggs. My black Swedish layed grey eggs. My opinion is if it is significantly larger, the egg has to come from a large bird. I would say it's from a Pekin. It's terribly confusing when you have lots of birds. You can separate them overnight and see who lays what.

Big baby. Are you giving her and your others Nutritional yeast or Plain Niacin.. Pekins can really have leg issues . Sure is a cutie they always look like they are happy ducks.

Hi Miss Lydia, thankyou for reminding me I need to be giving niacin supplement, I have a big bottle of niacin supplement to put in their water bottle.

Is it wise to separate a jumbo Pekin drake? The smallest ducks I have are 3 Mallards and two of them are hens. I all ready separated him and a Cayuga drake, but I feel really bad for doing that. I have 9 ducks total and three are drakes.
I just don't want him accidentally hurting the hens.
