Pekin Duck Drake Leg Deformed...Why?

After I wrote that post I realized they like to sleep between the doghouse inside the run and the two walls that form the opposite corner, right up against the wall...we used pallets for the ends and 2x4s for structure between them with hardware cloth along the sides. I thought the gaps between the pallets boards were small enough but only for keeping something from getting all the way in, not reaching through. I should have known better. I've blocked it for now til I have time to put up more hardware cloth.

Thankfully they didn't get killed, just injured...something I think they can definitely recover from. I'll keep up the vits wraps and epsom soaks and see how Will recovers. I'll post again with more news.

I didn't get this in my subscription notices, so I posted before I saw your recent post. I'm glad to hear you figured it out and got it fixed. Yes they are great at healing from worse than your s have so they should heal up fine. Thanks for updating.
