Pekin duck ear is bleeding

Hello,
This morning I found my pekin with blood around his ear and neck. Only on his right ear, no blood on the left. He is acting 100% normal, his eyes are clear and he is eating.
He plays with my chihuahua, and they can get a little rough sometimes. Could this possibly be due to head trauma? Or does it sound like disease? Should I be worried?

Dogs should probably not be allowed to "play" with ducks. Play in dogs come from their prey drive. Small dogs can kill birds during play just like a big dog can.
You should rinse it with saline and see what you can. Maybe get some vetricyn spray.
What is the ring around its neck from?
