do my babies look overweight? they are about 2 or 3 weeks old. not sure how old they were at the place i got them from.
don’t mind the diapers we were experimenting. they weren’t too happy as you can see.

I thought my adult pekin was overweight, as she was fluffier, slower, and waddled more than my other ducks. I took her to the vet, as I do. They actually told me she was underweight! And that you can't tell just by looking at them, but have to feel the breast under the feathers on either side of the keel bone.

I don't have any scientific basis for this... But I personally wouldn't worry about them being overweight until they are adults. They use so much energy for growing so fast it doesn't make sense to me that they could get overweight as babies!
