Pekin Ducks Loud???

okay i have some nextdoor neighbors and i'm incubating some pekin eggs right now, do you have any suggestions on how i can keep from getting in trouble?

(Sry i didn't know before i bought them... ^_^')

what does your neighbor have to do with you having ducks?

My pekin female is VERY loud. But she only talks when i come to see her.....

My pekin female is a HONKER! I just continually ask my neighbors if she bothers them and they say they never hear her! Thank goodness. I say communication is key, and then offer eggs ;-)

Yep offer eggs. I also give my ducks a stern point when they squawk and that seems to limit the loud squawks. Of course I don't do anything when they quack regularly b/c ducks quack and there's just no way around that.

I agree, my female complains and screams all the time, but I love being around here. The male seems so much quieter!
