Pekin Ducks

It can happen, but Pekins are not great brooders at all. I think you will be lucky if it happens

I agree with everyone else that they rarely go broody. Just to give you a little hope, though, one of our Pekins, Susan, went broody this year & hatched out 2 of her own eggs & 1 gosling. But it's better to be safe & prepared by having an incubator ready.
 
I have a broody pekin that's been sitting on eggs for weeks. I'm hoping they hatch. I was collecting the eggs and I put some of them under a broody Australorp hen and they hatched and I have some in the incubator in lockdown right now. I didn't have anyplace to put more eggs so I let them pile up in the nest and she started sitting on them. Only time will tell.
 
We have a few people around here that will go halves on hatches. You put your eggs in their incubator- you split the hatch. Check craigslist. Good luck!
