Pekin eating SOOOO much feed

We feed a specific amount twice a day. Two scoops morning/night in feeder all flock, 1 scoop cracked corn scattered on the ground each evening. Of course they would eat more if we let them. Between all 40 waterfowl we go thru 8 fifty pound bags All Flock, and 2 fifty pound bags cracked corn a month, plus cut grass/weeds and safe yard waste (think celery pieces, apple cores, and the like). I also give treats like peas, cranberries, Romane and other seasonal produce a couple times a month.

We feed our dog two measured amounts a day too. We fill the rabbit feeders once a day. Our cats just get their feeders filled as needed. Which is about twice a week for the barn cats (smaller feeder) once a week for the house cats (larger feeder). The cats aren’t prone to eating a ton, (barn cats mostly hunt) so there isn’t a need to mete food to them in measured portions.

I have Runners/Buffs and Muscovy's plus 2 geese and 26 chickens My Runners eat a lot more than my other birds. I don't know if it's their high metabolism or what but they are hungry little things. They are also very busy little slim ones.

Our ducks have the run of the backyard all day, so they are great foragers. Since the day we got them, we kept them on a schedule. New feed in the morning, new feed at bedtime. I suspect that they "share" their feed over night with a local possum, since it is empty the next morning, but they don't act starved. They love their treats, which they get three times a day (romaine, tomatoes, occasionally watermelon). Since this has been routine since day 1, it's worked well. Even the people who take care of them when we go on weekend trips comment on how stuck to a routine our guys are. I haven't noticed anyone eating more than another. Maybe our key was the routine. Our one Pekin seems more interested in chasing muscovy tail than eating...
