Pekin egg bound?

My 1 1/2 yr old Pekin lays an egg every day, not for the last 3 days. She has the hanging low stomach,she would rather sit, she is drinking & eating. Last Pm I gave her a warm bath & heating pad. I am not sure how to proceed with checking her duct though! I do not want to cause her any injury!!
Please any advice!!

Give her another bath. I have read that sometimes you can see part of the egg if you look at the vent. See if you can get someone to gently hold her still with her feet on the ground (less stress and risk of injury) and gently lift her tail till you can see the vent. You may want to very very gently poke at the vent to see if you can feel an egg.

Has anything changed her diet, has she been startled, anything out of the ordinary?

Thank you for your valued advice!! Nothing has changed in her diet. Last evening I held her with a warm pack tiger abdomen & I also looked at her duct. There were not any signs of infection. She is eating,drinking, had a BM, and preens.
I will try another warm bath this AM. Bella's sister Trix is quite happy for all this "spa" treatment!

Not to worry you, just thinking here, sometimes a distended belly is a symptom of infection. Sometimes it seems to just be temporary bloating. I wanted you to be aware of that and consider whether antibiotics or veterinary attention might be warranted. I hate missing something critical.

Amiga & Duck lovers,

This Sat. AM Bell did lay an egg; however, it must have broke. She laid an egg Sun. AM that was normal. She is eating, drinking, and pooping. She is not foraging like she did prior though. She sits much more & forages. She does not ap
ear to be "hanging" as low to the ground.
Any ideas?

I would not rule out an infection, though at this point things seem to be looking up.

What kind of care is she getting right now? I mean, extra baths or vitamins or . . .

Amiga,
Bella hab 2 warm / soap baths with some massage to her abdomen Sat. We have kept Daffy (her mate) separate from her. We have also given Bella & Trix alone time to forage & pool swim. We have given the girls a great supply of worms the last 2 evenings. Bella more worms then Trix.
PRIOR to Bella not laying her egg a day, Daffy would try to mate with Bell & Affy would come running & bite Daffy & even stand on Daffy to take try to take over the Alpha duck role.
