Day 22 is today...don't know when the duck eggs were laid, but they've been in the incubator for 22 days. Today, the eggs started rocking quite a bit.

We've hatched chicken eggs, but not duck eggs. Is rocking at day 22 normal for duck eggs or should I expect an earlier than expected hatch.

Temps have been great the whole time. If they're early, then it's most likely due to being laid as many as 5 days prior to incubation. But prior to incubation, the eggs were just kept in a basket in a cold (45 degree) barn.

Sure appreciate your thoughts.

Ducks hatch out around 28 days. It can take them 3 days from a pip to actually get out of the egg. You could be little early, but my ducks have been slow pokes at the end
