Hi guys! It’s me again with another question. I’m wondering if my little gal Daisy is a Peking or a white layer. I read somewhere that white layers have pink beaks and orange legs and Perkins are orange beaks and orange legs. Is this accurate in differentiating between the breeds? My little gal has a pink beak and orange legs... and here’s a cute pic of my gal, just because she’s so stinking adorable and I know I can’t seem to get enough of everyone else’s pictures too
(Side note I had NO IDEA I was a bird person until I got my chicks and my two ducks! And holy cow I’m a lifer now, I totally get bird people now!)

How will I be able to tell a few weeks from now? Does the bill sometimes change color from a duckling to a duck? Thanks for responding! And a few weeks... oh the horror!
You have no idea how fast ducklings grow! In just four weeks they will be almost fully feathered! You can literally see them growing from one day to the next.

Oh I know! My other duck Donald has literally been sky rocketing with his growth ( again I’m assuming he’s a he, pretty sure he is as he is not very vocal and most definitely watches over the whole crew of ladies already) It is so fun to watch them grow!

Look at my avatar picture: These guys were two weeks old and that was two weeks ago. Now with one months they almost look like gown-ups, just a little smaller.

That is a white Peking. I have one and her beak is pink and her legs are orange. Is a before and growing pic. She’s only 6 weeks old. I love her so.
