Just watching one of my hens because she seemed a bit lethargic? Looked closely and she has little drops of blood coming from her bill?!?!? The "nose holes"? Please ANY ideas!?!?!?

BUMP

You might want to re-post on here https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures

Can you get her to a vet? Does her poo have worms or blood in it? Anything she might of eaten? Any metal, plastic, molds, soap, oil spills in her area. Is she thin looking, if so corn will help her gain weight and sav-a-chick powders can help boost her systems. Any pictures?

I would get her to a vet if at all possible.

Get her into a tub of lukewarm water - see if it perks her up, and look closely. See if you can find any other clues.

I would suspect an infection - perhaps a sinus infection, and it may have spread, so I would be locating some antibiotics for her. I must go right now - so please look into antibiotics appropriate for sinus or respiratory infections.

I would put a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a gallon of drinking water for her, and if you can, take a look in her mouth. Sometimes ducks will get a staple or other sharp object stuck in their bills . . . .

One of my pekin cross girls, Ephinny, is prone to this. I absolutely freaked the first time it happened and when I went into research mode I found an article (probably around here) about how soft a ducks sinus and inner mouth is, and that small injuries there are common.

Of course it COULD be a very serious internal bleeding/not clotting issue that will kill within hours. Im not saying be complacent, at all, but in the case of my duck she just seems to have very sensitive sinus and inner mouth tissues and even dabbling up a bit of dry straw will cut up her mouth a little. I always check her out and have a bit of a frantic heart attack over it, but she's always fine.

Sorry it took so long to reply... There arent vets around me that care for chickems/ducks. After close inspection it wasnt coming from her nose "holes" but a bite across her bill... A neighborhood dog(s) had gotten into the yard.

new neighbors that allow their large dogs to roam... Anyway.... She is well now she was, I think, in shock. I hadnt put 2 and 2 together at the time. But my turkeys scared those dogs and so far they havent come back.... time to refortify the duck area again....

well I guess it's time to punch that dog in the face. *cough* I would still mix sav-a-chick powders in her water. It helps during times of stress. Also just so you know duck 'nose holes' are called 'nares' :). Hope her bill heals up nice.
