Husband and mother in law said they have heard a few loud quacks.. I have heard nothing and I am home a LOT.. I do 99% of all the care and am around them a bunch. ugh I am 95% sure they are both boys now. I am 100% sure the pekin is a boy. Tail feathers are curling like crazy and he is raspy but the white layer I still question a bit but that could just be wishful thinking.

Were they meant for the freezer? They will clean up beautifully, and my family is making plans to raise these guys, which are not actually different from pekins, just purty big pekins. They have been converted...

No, We were hoping for a few egg layers. I was ok if we had 1 male but was really crossing my fingers for at least 1 female. We got 8 chickens and wanted a few ducks to keep things interesting. Not raising meat birds until next year once we relocate..

So I sent a video of both birds "talking" to a friend who raises ducks and they think I have a male and a female.. ugh I really really hope she is correct. I just need/want 1 egg layer. These fatty's can't be free loaders..
