Pekin won't follow me

So... I dont know how to put this exactly, but it seems like you're trying to raise this duck expecting it to behave like a dog. It's a duck. Not a dog. It needs a a duck buddy and a duck home and duck food. It won't be happy or healthy long term without being cared for with respect to the fact that it is a duck.
:goodpost:

hmmm I see, I'll ask for one of her brothers or sisters then

Ducks live a very long time and you might have a lot of time to spend with it right now but in 5 years you might not be able to give it the full company and attention it will need. Ducks are flock animals and it will be very sad without at least one friend. The ideal scenario for any duck involves it living outside with a little duck house, a water pool, and a buddy. Ducks can love their humans and get excited to see you when you bring them treats but they need the 24/7 company of a companion duck.
