pekin?

    now i had never herd of he breed till today and after googling it i dont see a diffrence from cochin... is the pekin like a "desiner" breed (like a cochin mix) or have i just been clueless all these years?

    Just off the top of my head, I think it is only the bantam cochins that are called Pekin. It shouldn't be difficult to verify that, if it is important enough to you to look it up.

    Well, yes and no. [​IMG]

    There are people that think that Bantam Cochins are the same breed as Pekings and others that think that they are different breeds. I looked this up a while ago when I hatched my first Pekings. When I am on here I usually put both or else someone may think that I have ducks. [​IMG]

    I have lavender pekin bantams, and there just lovley, really worth a go,
    and i too live in the uk.
