What are some of the personality differences in the two that you all have noticed? Our Peking is hilarious, the two Rouens are 4 weeks old and they just want to run from us. I think they think my grand daughter is their mother, because when they were smaller they use to follow her around the yard in a single file. They were right on her heels making it scary that they would get stepped on. They don't do that any more though you have to chase them down to put them up I'm getting worried about sex of the two Rouen babies from what I have been reading on here I hope both are not males. If I would of known more about them I would of ordered them sexed so we would have more females. The two look exactly alike so at this point I think they are the same sex. They don't quack they just doing the peeping thing, like crying when you leave them or take one away from the other. When do they start quacking?

Well, the running away from you is very normal. All ducks, at one point in time, do this! The best thing to do is to not make sudden movements around them and just be a gentle and calm as you can be! They will get used to you again and follow you etc, etc.
They usually start to make a faint quack around 5-6weeks. It gets stronger once they are older.
I hope you have great success with your ducks! I hope my advice will help!

Thanks so much all advice is greatly appreciated. Even though we have a duck that came to live with us when my grand daughter did she was around 6 months old and basically takes care of herself. Well you know except for her basic needs like food and water. We did build her a night pen also. She was an Easter purchase from her mom, and these babies were also and Easter purchase from my mom (they are out to get me...lol). I have grown to love them though, but man the babies are a lot of work!
