Pekins rock- just sayin

I do love the other ducks too actually. Each breed has it's draw and I have several different kinds of ducks. But I really find the Pekins to be so expressive despite how boring many people find them because of their plain 'whiteness'. But I really do enjoy them.

OK I have to add one of me that my son took. I'm in my good morning glory (bed hair and no makeup since I was doing my morning duck chores lol). Holding one of my beloved Pekins.

I go out in my robe and pj's in the morning to give them food and water....I have lost all shame in the thought of my neighbors seeing me that way!

Seriously! I finally did start wearing jackets or longer t shirts when I realized my low waist jeans were causing a wee bit of crack kills virus- that was a vision I don't think my neighbors needed of me. Lots of bending over, scrubbing, filling, pulling, picking, refilling...haha!

LOLLL! I had the same problem so I got up the nerve to don a baggy grey sweatshirt over my clothes!
Once you get a system down with the lil' critters it works out ! I hear you on the filling, re-filling, and constant changing!
I felt so bad today because we've been havin' rainy weather so they had to stay in their duck house most of the day!
I'm gonna go let em' out now because it's stopped! They dart right out the door its so funny to watch!!!
Especially when I have to bribe them into their house at night by throwing peas through their door!
You should see them run!!!

I'm starting peas this weekend. So far around 7pm they start yelling and I know they are saying- ma it's bed time let us go to our coop! So I go open their gate to their yard and then they dash out and right into their house. No bribes needed so far. We have a pond though and I am trying to save the bribes for getting them out of there. Good luck right? ha!

I don't know what any of the Pekins genders are yet. They all freak out when I get near. haha! This one got separated from the group heading into their yard so I had to go get her (she veered off a little too much to the right and ended up behind the gate door and didn't know she could walk around it lol) and that's where this pic came in. I was tickled to get to hold her though.

I know people keep saying their female Pekins are freakish when you get close to them so maybe all 4 are ladies. That would rock because then I could keep them all.

Lol, so its not just me? Depending on the weather I may wear a coat or jacket over the pjs and the muck boots are a fantastic touch.
