Pellet layer feed

I don't know that quail could eat pellets, they might be too big. You can grind it up to make it smaller, or just wet it. That will make it break down.
 
I've tried using a blender with mine, but I always end up with really big pieces (still) and powder, that's why I just wet it. The baby birds stay inside until they are about 3 weeks old, so I just keep their wet mash in the fridge, this helps it to dry out also.
 
I bet wetting it would keep it in the feed dish better too. They are so bad about wasting food. That is a great idea! Sounds easier than griding it (I did that with starter feed when they were babies b/c they did better with it)

They are no longer in the rabbit hutch;) The males were crowing big time... does that mean they are happy or that it is their territory? We are also up to two eggs per day;) I bet we'll be getting more soon.
