Pelleted pine bedding?

has anyone used this? I’ve been using the deep layer method, but it’s getting to a point where disposal and such is a hassle.

I saw this and noticed reviewers talking about using it for pens, ferrets, etc.

I used them before. I didn’t care for them personally so I switched over to shavings. I felt that pine shavings absorbed more. Plus these are hard, the pine shavings are a lot softer landing, when my chickens would jump down from the roost.

IME, the pellets work well if there's not a lot of moisture in the poop. The pellets will absorb the little bit of moisture, the poop dries and can be turned or raked under.

If the poop is pretty wet, the pellet soaks up all the moisture and greatly expands leaving handfuls of sawdust everywhere.

You'll have to decide if it will work for you..

Deep bedding? Just dry shavings?
Manure management is the key...I use a poop board and only have to swap out my shavings twice a year.
What kind if bedding in your run?
