Pelletized Lime

I just put pelletized lime down on my lawn because I thought it was going to rain last night, but it didn't. Can I let me chickens out or should I wait for a good soaking?

I'm guessing no. They'd be fine to walk on it, but you know those tiny white balls will be very interesting to them! I did they same thing last week - and we still haven't gotten a decent rain. I started watering the grass where I'm going to let the babies on later this week.
Maybe someone else knows for sure.

It's probably limestone, but I'm also betting your chickens will be fascinated. One rain probably won't wash them down, though, unless it's a doozer!
