Pellets for ducklings?

Oh my, I can't imagine having giant runners! They get into enough trouble as it is, there would be no plant or flowerpot that would be safe. I always forget how small runners are until I see other
ducks. There is a male. muscovy at a nearby park and he is just huge.
I need to make a picture with one of the drakes and his momma. But those guys are so active and have discovered their »corkscrew«… :th

Haha, then you don't want an incubator for sure...you'd have to turn the eggs (and they are very heavy) and candle them ( very time consuming) and count down the days till they hatch (who has the time?). Plus sit around and watch them hatch, blah. Did that help at all? :D
Thank's for the try! - Unfortunately i know all too well about automatic egg-turners and built-in egg candlers and thermostats and …
I still have that thing in my ali-express basket: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/400...chweb0_0,searchweb201602_7,searchweb201603_52

The first baby hatched today!
They've told me it is black and tan, so very likely a Buff and Magpie mix.
The hen is very, very protective and keeps the little one under her all the time, so no pictures yet…
Thats awesome! Congrats on the new baby :) Ours are coming early too, it's very exciting.
We finally got our first hatch about two hours ago and it happened quickly. I wanted to put up a pic but it's humid and not the best for photos. Hopefully cute fluffy duckling pics in the am :)

Such a small bag would not even last for a week here. ;)
My ducks go through 50lbs of layer pellets in just five days…
Yeah, my hubby just is realizing how much feed we go through with 43 ducks and 19 chickens...I always make the orders up..he was floored..last night he said..one bag for three days with the chickens? He was off..but I wasn’t going to say, no that’s the ducks in two days dear...lol..ugh

No thank's! - I found a local feed-mill here, they are using as much locally harvested stuff to make their pellets and if they really have to buy from a non-local source they are only buying non GMO and pesticide free stuff.
The duckies love their pellets and when i fill up their feeder they're all waiting for me to come back out of the duck-house and then storm in to fill their bellies.
Of course Blanca Duck is first…
That’s what we do, they are Mennonite and sooo nice to deal with..they save egg cartons for us! He orders in special goats pellets because I buy special feed that others don’t buy because it’s too expensive, but he gets it for me..I also just like to support local..but we are going to TS Friday for some stuff he can’t get

The pellets in purina duck are small enough that you could crush them easily, they're not as hard as the chicken pellets either.

AND I spent 6 hours or more calling feed stores all over houston trying to find one that stocked the 40lb bag. I finally found one that was willing to order it in and did NOT act like I was off my rocker nor offer to sell me a bag of 50 dollar waterfowl food.

It's supposed to have come in today, I'm waiting to hear back from them. My girls love that stuff.
